Yeast is found in a woman’s vagina. The presence of candida albicans is normal. However if there is an overgrowth of the fungus then a condition known as candidisasis is becomes evident. Yeast infection is not life threatening per se but if the infection becomes systemic then it is something to be really concerned about.
